JAMMU, Nov 28: A delegation of J&K UT Olympic Association met Anurag Thakur, Minister of State for Finance Government of India, here.
The delegation comprised President J&K UT Olympic Association Prof (Dr) Ashutosh Sharma and Secretary General Dushyant Sharma met Anurag Thakur, who is also President Himachal Pradesh Olympic Association and Former President Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Dr Sharma and Dushyant Sharma discussed with the Minister about the promotion of games and sports to accelerate the Olympic movement and participation of Indian teams in the forthcoming Olympic Games to be held at Tokyo. They also deliberated about the sports scenario in Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Anurag Thakur shared his vast experience in sports as President BCCI, Vice President Indian Olympic Association and President HP Olympic Association with Prof Sharma and Dushyant Sharma.
President & General Secretary J&K UT Olympic Association extended invitation to the Minister for a meeting with Presidents and Secretaries of Sports Associations and visit to Heritage Sports Museum.
