J&K Masters T20 Cricket tourney begins

JAMMU, May 23: BJP Spokesperson, Gaurav Gupta inaugurated the J&K Masters T20 Cricket Tournament Edition 4 at MA Stadium in the presence of General Secretary (VCAJK) Vivek Suri, Naveen Koul, Abhishek Sharma and Mukesh Sharma today.
The tournament is being organized by Veterans Cricket Association J&K under the “Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan” to promote veteran cricket and spread awareness against drug abuse among youth through sports.
Gaurav Gupta appreciated the efforts of VCAJK in providing a competitive platform for senior cricketers and linking sports with the social cause of a drug-free Jammu and Kashmir. He said such initiatives help channelize youth energy positively and promote discipline, fitness and brotherhood.
Vivek Suri highlighted the association’s achievements in organizing inter-state and national-level tournaments and informed that two J&K players were selected for the national tournament at Hyderabad after impressive performances in the North Zone tournament at Faridabad.
