J&K Karatekas blossom in Japan

JAMMU, Oct 19: Young and promising Karatekas from J&K namely Sensei Avneet Kour and Sensei Ishant Gupta by showing brilliant performance clinched silver medals in Hasuda Karate Championship Japan in the Kata event, thus qualified for 2nd DAN Master Grade. This achievement is the pride for the State of Jammu and Kashmir and it is first time in the history that young players has been awarded with 2nd DAN Black Belt Master Grade by the World’s largest Tenshinkan Karate Do Federation, World Headquarter, Japan.
The Indian Tenshinkan Karate Do team was led by Koshi Hasrat Ali Khan, Chief Instructor India.
Both the players were imparted special training by Koshi Hasrat Ali Khan and Sensei Aruna Sharma Coach after that they were selected for undergoing seminar/ Hard Training at Tenshinkan Karate-Do Federation Japan.
After reaching Jammu team of both the players were warm welcomed by the Association members and their families.
Dr Amit Vaid, Chairman of the Association lauded the efforts of the promising Katatekas for this achievement.
