JAMMU, Mar 20: Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh has alleged that Lt Governor’s administration in Jammu and Kashmir has utterly and completely failed to secure the future of its educated youth in the UT as unemployment rate has broken all records.
“Aam Aadmi Party which has already shown its grave concern over unemployment and regular protests of the youth for transparent recruitment policy and for ascending order of unemployment ratio,” said Sanjay Singh while talking to media persons at New Delhi.
The MP added that he had asked all those serious questions in the Parliament which are directly related to the youth and the given answers were quite shocking and dreadful.
Singh alleged that Centre and UT Government were playing with future of the J&K youth, whose most genuine demand of transparent recruitment policy has not been addressed in time thus forcing them to protest on the roads.
The AAP MP said that only two percent unemployed youth have been given jobs in the last three years and out of 12 lakh unemployed youth, only 25,450 were recruited. “The percentage of unemployed youth of J&K is double than the unemployment ration of the nation and it is the most dreadful situation,” he added.
“Jammu Kashmir which was earlier a State, is now a UT and for the last eight years there is no Assembly election at all and the youth of this UT is in fix,” Singh said. He asked the people of J&K to ruminate the existing and alarming situation of unemployment of the UT and consider the social evils among youth like drug abuse, suicidal tendency and crime because of unemployment rate. He also raised his serious concern over the scraping of SI and JE exams last year.
“This is the right time and need of the hour to teach BJP a lesson like in Punjab and Delhi. He assured that if AAP forms Government in the upcoming Assembly elections, all the blazing issues like unemployment, power, drinking water, consideration of daily wagers and consolidated workers as permanent employees, labour law and many others will be addressed.
