Srinagar, July 24: With a view to educate the participants regarding the Bank’s financial services and products, the Bank’s Marketing Division, Kashmir (Central) conducted a one-day Marketing Awareness Programme at Government Degree College for Women, here today.
Besides students and staff, the programme was attended by Incharge Marketing Division, Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, representative from business unit Residency Road and Associate Prof Huda Gazlai, Conveyor, Career Counseling Women’s College.
The participants were informed about various tailor-made deposit and loan schemes of the bank meant for financial betterment of different sections of society. The specific products offered to salaried class were discussed at length.
The students were also counseled regarding the various Government sponsored self-employment schemes and apprised about efforts made by the Bank towards creating culture of entrepreneurship in the State.
Meanwhile, the Bank conducted awareness programmes in Uri and Rajwar to inform people about the importance and role of Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETIs) and financial literacy.
Meanwhile, the camp organised by the Bank’s Business Unit Uri at Uri Club was attended by a good number of people from all walks of life besides Lead District Manager, Director RSETI, Facilitator FLCC Baramulla and Head B/U Uri.
Speaking at the occasion, Director RSETI Baramulla informed the audience about the objectives of RSETI’s and their role in providing the necessary skills to enhance the employability levels of rural youth.
LDM Baramulla also spoke on the occasion.
In collaboration with Lead Bank Office and Bank’s B/U at Zachaldara, the Bank’s FLCC Kupwara organized a financial literacy camp at Kamboora, a far flung hamlet of block Rajwar in Handwara.
The Facilitator Kupwara apprised the participants about the importance of opening savings and other deposit accounts with the banks.
