JAMMU, Oct 2: Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research (JIAR) organized a free medical camp at Baba Kailakh Nathji Temple, Bantalab, Jammu in the memory of late Dr Roop Lal Sharma, founder of Shri Sain Charitable Trust and JIAR.
About 220 patients suffering from various ailments including skin diseases, cough, fever, piles, fistula, indigestion, diabetes, infected wounds, phimosis, cystic swellings and ear disorders were examined and treated during the camp.
Specialists from the Department of Kayachikitsa, Dr Atal Bihari Trivedi (Associate Professor) and Dr Roshi Mahajan (Assistant Professor), specialist from the Department of Shalya Tantra, Dr Vishal Khanna (Associate Professor) and specialist from the Department of Shalakya Tantra, Dr Ankush Bhardwaj,(Assistant Professor) examined the patients.
Post graduate Scholars, students of final and professors of JIAR also rendered their services in the camp. Patients were also advised to follow the Ayurveda principles to live a disease free life. Medicinal support was provided free of cost by JIAR Pharmacy.
