JD(U) joins non BJP-non Congress front

JAIPUR, July 21: The Janata Dal (United), that parted ways from the NDA last month, today joined the ‘non BJP-non Congress Third Front, formed recently in Rajasthan by CPI, CPM, Samajwadi Party and Janata Dal (Secular) for contesting jointly the Assembly polls due in the State by the year end.
The announcement was made by the Party  General Zaved Raza at a convention held here jointly by the Rajasthan Loktantrik Morcha constituents this afternoon.
Mr Raza said the decision to join in the Morcha in view of the approaching near assembly polls, has been taken after parleys between party president Sharad Yadav, CPI patriarch AB Bardhan and CPI(M) leaders, for opposing both ‘communal BJP and corrupt Congress’.
Mr Bardhan, CPI(M) politburo member Brinda Karat, JD(S) Chief General Secretary Danish Ali, Samajwadi  arty State President Pt Ramkishan and other leaders were present at the convention.(UNI)
