JD Education, CEO inspect infra in Govt schools

Jammu, Apr 20: Joint Director Education Charandeep Singh today conducted an extensive tour of city schools especially primary ones and ensured that they are well equipped with infrastructure including Teaching Learning Material (TLM), educational toys, desks and sports material so that children grow in a good environment and develop interest in schools.
He was accompanied by Chief Education Officer (CEO), Jammu besides officials from Directorate of Education. Primary School, Sainik Colony and middle school,Langer were found to be following prescribed guidelines and during interaction with children it was observed that they are on the learning trajectory.
On the demand of teachers, the CEO was directed to provide desks in the school within prescribed time so that children don’t face any inconveniences. Speaking to staff, the Joint Director Education Charandeep Singh said that since their schools were located at prime locations they must put in little extra efforts to get more students enrolled.
Since the department was spending huge money to build required infrastructure it was advised to ensure that maximum students take benefits of these classes which are being built at par with any other private institution in the state. He stressed upon school management to engage with local population and get more admission as admission process was still going on.
The officials later visited Middle School, Langer and found that records were not being maintained property. On the spot instructions were issued to the head in the institution to set records straight within a week’s time and report to the CEO. The staff was also advised to maintain discipline in the school and ensure punctuality. They were told that by maintaining academic, sanctity they can set examples for others to follow.
Earlier, sweets were distributed amongst nursery class students and work of teachers appreciated in inculcating learning spirit amongst students and also developing interest in them to attend school regularly besides maintaining hygiene, staying clean, wearing clean uniforms and most importantly adopting moral values.
