JAMMU, Mar 7: In continuation to its drive against illegal mining and transportation of construction material, Samba police today seized one Dumper, one JCB and one Tractor-trolley in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS), Vijaypur and PS Ramgarh which were being used for illegal transportation and mining of the construction material.
A police party of PS Ramgarh while on patrolling near Radwan area, seized one tractor-trolley with Registration Number JK21B/ 6496 and one JCB without Registration Number for illegally transporting and mining of construction material.
In another similar incident, a police party of PS Vijaypur while performing routine vehicle checking duty at NHW Naka AIIMS, seized one Dumper having Registration Number JK21F/1897 for carrying construction material (sand) without any valid permission.
All the vehicles seized by Samba police have been handed over to Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further action.
