JAMMU, Oct 12: An Army jawan and a porter were injured in a mine blast on the Line of Control (LoC) in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district this afternoon.
An Army team was patrolling forward area on the LoC in Krishna sector when one of the jawans stepped over the mine, leading to an explosion in which an Army soldier and a defence porter were injured.
They have been identified as Bhupender Singh, Army soldier and Nazir Ahmad, 21, R/o Noona Bandi, Poonch, a defence porter.
Both of them were evacuated from the blast site and admitted in the hospital.
