Jammu Tawi Golf Championship organized

JAMMU, Mar 31: Jammu played host to the Jammu Tawi Golf Cup, an event sponsored by Golfplus Monthly and supported by the Ministry of Tourism at Jammu Tawi Golf Course, here.
The event saw unprecedented participation from the golfers who vied for top honors. The event was inaugurated by Farooq A Shah, Secretary Tourism J&K.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Shah said, “J&K is emerging as golfing destination, as the state has the best golf courses of India. The Royal Spring Golf Course in Zabarwan forest range, the second oldest golf course in India The Kashmir Golf Club, the natural golf course of Gulmarg, the scenic golf course in Pahalgam, the highest golf greens being built in Ladakh and the scenic but challenging golf course in Jammu. The state of J&K is the ultimate golfing destination”.
The event overseen by the Secretary Jammu Tawi Golf Course, Manav Gupta, a keen golfer himself. The event culminated at a prize distribution.
Result: Closest to the pin, Ravinder Singh; The longest drive, Bhupesh Gupta, Senior category, Arun Sharma, Runners-up and Winner MM Joshi.  Runners-up 10-19 handicap category, Ravinder Dhar, Winner TK Razdan, Runners-up 0-9 handicap, Jaideep Singh and Winner, Dr Danish.
