JAMMU, Sept 5: Jammu Sunrisers registered emphatic win over Jammu Tigers and sealed berth in the semis of the ongoing J&K Peace T-20 Championship, being organized by Vishal Cricket Club (VCC), Jammu and District Sports Council Jammu in collaboration with Sehwag Cricket Academy, here today.
In Group-B match played at Sehwag Cricket Academy, Jammu Sunrisers defeated Jammu Tigers by 5 wickets. Batting first, Jammu Tigers scored 89 runs in 18 overs for the loss of 6 wickets. Arsh made 21 runs, while Aditya scored 17 runs.
From Jammu Sunrisers side, Daksh took 2 wickets, while Karmanya, Kartik and Ateeb scalped one wicket each.
In the second inning, Jammu Sunrisers achieved the target in 17.2 overs for the loss of 5 wickets. Kartik was the highest scorer with 27 runs, while Karmanya made 18 runs.
From Jammu Tigers side, Jatin took 2 wickets, while Abay scalped 1 wicket.
Kartik of Jammu Sunrisers was adjudged as Man of the Match.
In Group-A match, which was played between Jammu Superstars and Jammu Warriors at Parade ground, got washed away due to rain.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Jammu Superstars will take on Jammu Warriors and Jammu Sunrisers will clash with Jammu Kings.
