JAMMU, June 2: Jammu, Bishnah and Khour Zones were among winners on day-2 of the Inter-Zonal District Level Under-14 and Under-17 Boys Cricket Tournament, being organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Jammu at Govt High School Jammu Cantt and Parade Ground, here.
In all, 448 boys drawn across from 14 Zones of Jammu District are taking part in the competitions.
The competitions are being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, under the patronage of Shiekh Fayaz Ahmad, Director General and under the overall supervision of Madan Lal, Joint Director. Chanchal Kour, DYSSO Jammu is the Organizing Secretary of the tournament.
The main objective of the tournament is selection of teams of District Jammu for Inter District Division Level tournaments.
Earlier, in Cricket Under-14 boys, Bishnah Zone beat Satwari Zone by 9 runs and Jammu Zone defeated Arnia Zone by 10 wickets, while in Cricket Under-17 boys, Khour Zone drubbed Chowki Choura Zone by 13 runs and Jammu Zone thrashed Akhnoor Zone by 9 wickets.
The matches were officiated by a panel of experts of the Department of Youth Services and Sports.
