RAJOURI, May 5: National Student Union of India (NSUI) and Youth Congress activists accorded warm welcome to Iftkhar Ahmed on his first visit to his home district Rajouri after being appointed as National Coordinator, Indian Youth Congress (IYC).
On reaching Sunderbani, reception was accorded at Block Congress Committee office, Sundarbani in which all the leaders garland Iftkhar Ahmed.
The main reception rally was organised at Rajouri , in which hundreds of Youth Congress, NSUI and Congress workers gathered at Dalogra where they have garlanded and welcome him. About 200 cars and 100 bikes were part of reception rally which passed through Salani Bridge, Gujjar Mandi, main Bus Stand and culminate at Salani bridge near new Bus Stand, Rajouri .
Iftkar Ahmed, in his address, expressed gratitude to NSUI and DYC Rajouri for warm reception. He also thanked Rahul Gandhi, Keshav Chand Yadav, National president IYC and others who all have reposed faith on him and appointed him National co-coordinator incharge UP west.
Senior members Sajad Tariq, Nadeem Mir, Abrar Ahmed-DYC Rajouri congratulating Iftkhar Ahmed and said that the State needs the services of young generation to ensure overall development and progress in all the three regions, as the youth can bring out state from miseries.
The programme was jointly organised by NSUI and DYC Rajouri units and District Congress unit. Senior members Shabir Choudary, Tanveer Khan, Shahnawaz Khaki, Azhar Raja, Sanam Shah and Rimpy also attended.
