POONCH, July 8: An Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) of Indo-Tibetian Border Police (ITBP) allegedly committed suicide by using his service weapon in Poonch today.

Official sources said that ITBP personal, identified as Prem Chand from 46 Bn was deployed at Mini-Secretariat, Poonch along with other force men. He used his service pistol and shot himself dead on the spot at around 5.30 am on Friday. Later, his body was shifted to District Hospital Poonch. The police registered a case and started investigation.
