Iran hits US bases in Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, Iraq in response to wedding attack - IRGC

TEHRAN, Sep 2: The Iranian military struck US bases in Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan and Iraq in retaliation for a deadly US attack on a wedding in Iran, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said on Wednesday.

"In response to this crime, the brave warriors of the IRGC ground forces, simultaneously with attacks on US bases in Jordan, Erbil (Iraq) and Bahrain, carried out a strike today on the headquarters and location of the US command at the Ali Al Salem base in Kuwait using missiles and drones," the statement read.

The IRGC said that several people were killed in the attack.

At least five people were killed and more than 60 others were wounded on Tuesday in a US attack on a wedding ceremony in Kuhestak in Sirik county, which lies on the Strait of Hormuz.
