Int’l fake visa racket busted, 5 arrested

NEW DELHI, Aug 20: The IGI unit of Delhi Police busted one of the biggest international fake passport/visa rackets, and arrested five people, including mastermind Zakir, officials said today, news agency reported.
According to the official, more than 1200 rubber stamps were confiscated. 12 printers. 77 bio pages. Stamping machine made of polymer. The ultra violet light machine was also repaired.
“325 fake passports, 175 fake visas & other related things were recovered,” IGI DCP Tanu Sharma was quoted by ANI on its official Twitter handle.
Following the deportation of a guy from Kuwait earlier this month, the IGI Police had busted a fraudulent immigration cum visa scheme and arrested the mastermind, IANS reported.
Tanu Sharma, DCP of IGI, named the accused as Mustaq alias Jamil Picturewala. He was detained in Mumbai.
“The accused is involved in arranging fake passport and visa along with his aides Zakir Yusuf Shaikh in Mumbai and Narayanbhai Chaudhary in Gujarat. They are mostly operating in areas of Gujarat and Mumbai and facilitate people in arranging fake passport and visa through which they can settle down in USA by unfair means,” the official was quoted by IANS in its report.
