RAMBAN, May 9: Inter zone tourney concluded at District Police Line ground, here today.
Additional Superintendent of Police Ramban Arun Kumar Gupta was the chief guest on the occasion.
The Tourney was organised by the Department of Youth Service and Sports Ramban in which all the six zones of District namely Banihal, Khari, Ukhral, Ramban, Gool and Batote participated in the different disciplines of sports including Kabaddi, Kho-Kho and volley ball under the age group of 14 and 17 years.
430 boys and girls of different schools of the district participated in this sports meet held under the supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Ramban, Jarpal Singh.
Speaking on the occasion, Arun Kumar Gupta impressed upon the students to actively participate in the games and sports activities for their overall development.
In volley ball finals, Khari defeated zone Ramban in under-14 boys and Banihal defeated Ukhral in under-17 boys Ramban defeated zone Batote in under-14 girls, and Batote defeated Ramban in under-14 boys and zone Batote defeated zone Ramban under-17 boys.
