JAMMU, Dec 21: All India Inter-University Fencing (Men & Women) Championship 2022-23, hosted by University of Jammu (JU), entered Day-2, here today.
On the 2nd day of the championship, the epee (Individual) women, Sabre (Individual) women and foil individual (Men) competitions were organised at Gymnasium Hall. The championship is being organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education (DSPE), JU.
The special prize distribution function was organized wherein Prof Arvind Jasrotia, Registrar University of Jammu was the chief guest who presented the medals to all the medallists along with Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, Director DSPE in presence of Dr Komal Nagar, I/c Assistant Director, Rashid Ahmed Chowdhary, Dr Mandeep Singh, Raj Kumar Bakshi, Ravish Vaid, Vikas Karlopia, Padam Dev Singh and Bhavna Sharma.
In epee individual women, Sheetal Dalal, GNDU Amritsar-Gold, Taniska, GNDU-Silver, Nazia, Osmania University-Bronze and Jaskeerat, Chandigrah University-Bronze, while in foil individual (Men), Tufan-GNDU-Goldi, Harshit-GNDU-Silver, Thusar, Bam University-Bronze, and Sachin Patani, HEM Chandra Acharya University-Bronze.
In sabre individual (Women), Jagmeet, GNDU-Gold, Alka V Sunny, Kannur University-Silver, Rishika Khajuria-GNDU, Bronze and Shonima-Kannur University, Bronze.
