Jammu, Nov 15: 6 teams from 5 major Telecom companies, namely, Vodafone, Idea, Reliance, Airtel and Aircel assembled in the Indoor Cricket Hall of KC Sports Club this afternoon to play the first ever indoor day and night Inter Telecom Cricket Tournament. The excitement about the event was palpable as the fixtures were drawn at 2 p.m.
3 matches started simultaneously inside the Cricket Hall divided into three segments separated by netting. The matches were played as per the regulations of Indoor Cricket prevalent in countries such as Australia.
All the matches were played with tremendous enthusiasm and in the best possible form of sportsmanship and healthy rivalry. The matches concluded up to the semi final stage with the following results for the day:
Airtel beats Aircel A, Reliance Communication Ltd. beat Aircel B, Idea Cellular beat Vodafone.
The remaining matches are scheduled to be played tomorrow which will be followed by an awards presentation ceremony.
