RAMNAGAR, Jan 31: District Information Centre, Udhampur organized cultural programme and film show at Govt. High School, Dehari in Ramnagar tehsil on Thursday.
The Headmaster of the host school, Sunder Rani was the chief guest on the occasion.
The renowned and budding artists of the area took part in the cultural programme and performed folk dances and songs in Dogri and Pahari language, touching all aspects of society.
Solo Dogri presentation of Babu Ram titled “Miki Lagdha Bada Payra oh des dogra ………” got loud applause of the audience while Dogri Lok Geet ” loka kadhu chuk gorye…….” by budding artists of the area and folk songs by renowned artists Des Raj & party were given standing ovation by a large number of people present on the occasion.
Earlier, a film show was also organized by the department which was witnessed by over 250 students.
While speaking on the occasion, the Headmaster of the school appreciated the efforts of Information Department in holding cultural programme and film show in her school. She said that such type of programme would definitely provide a platform to student to channelize their talent in right direction.
