NEW DELHI : The nation today remembered former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on her 98th birth anniversary.
President Pranab Mukherjee, Vice-President Hamid Ansari, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress president Sonia Gandhi, her Deputy Rahul Gandhi and galaxy of dignitaries paid floral tributes to the departed leader at her memorial Shakti Sthal in the national Capital. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also remembered the first woman Prime Minister of the country.
The Congress also paid tribute to the ‘Iron Lady of India’. Several programmes were held at various places to commemorate the day. (UNI)
