India snubs Imran Khan: says Pak is in ‘mess’ & must focus on own domestic matters

NEW DELHI:India on Thursday snubbed Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan for commenting on internal matters of India and said the authorities there should focus on their ‘own business’ as domestic conditions in that country is in “mess”.

“….I think it will be better if they mind their own business. The internal matters in their country is in quite a mess,” MEA spokesman Raveesh Kumar told reporters here.

Mr Kumar was answering questions on recent tweets from Pakistan Prime Minister Mr Khan on the violence in Jammu and Kashmir

He said “time and again”, India has maintained that some of the statements coming out from Pakistan “demonstrates insincerity and duplicity”.

“So, we have been demanding is that you (Pakistan) should stop allowing your territories to be used for terror groups and terrorists who are operating from their side and exporting terror to other countries. No action has been taken on that,” the MEA spokesman said.

He said: “On the other hand, I think they have sometimes made comments on the internal affairs of (India)….I think, it will be better if they mind their own business”.

The reaction from MEA spokesperson came days after Pakistan Prime Minister tweeted and blamed Indian security forces for violence in Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir. (AGENCIES)
