The software expertise of India is reckoned all over the world, unmatched and the contribution of Indian software companies in foreign exchange revenues is simply unparalleled, decade after decade. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Indian software companies had exponential growth and still growing strong. It is a fact that all leading blue chip companies have Indian CEOs, be it Microsoft or Twitter or Intel, a proud moment for every Indian. All leading MNCs of the world like NASA or Boeing or Airbus etc one way or another prefer to associate with Indian software companies for solutions. Despite these plus points for so many decades yet we have been somehow lagging in providing a complete package like Twitter or Facebook, an innovation of its kind. India is far behind in semiconductor technology and as such compatible hardware development. However things are changing a lot under the present GoI with a focus on start-ups, and incubation labs being set up, factually India is one of the fastest-growing start-up markets. The development of indigenous 5G technology in India and its implementation are simply game changers of the future. Encouragement to the youth, both technically and financially, is tremendous and in the coming times, we may witness extraordinary software products being made and marketed to the outside world. The scope of artificial intelligence, the internet of things, and digital big data are immense and the developing and implementing end-user products with a focus on agriculture, health, and community development will change the discourse in coming years. President of India Murmu has rightly pointed out the need to focus on Made in India, with the world’s focusing on the Indian G20 presidency tenure, it’s time to develop and showcase the best and value for money solutions and India has the potential to grab the opportunity. India’s Space Mission is an example itself, establishing satellites at many times lesser costs is a reality now and the world relies on us for this.
