Kalakote, Aug 2: Former MLA and senior Congress leader Ashok Sharma urged the State Government to macadamize Metka- Kanthol road while expressing serious concern over continuous depletion of its fair weather road inspite of spending more than Rs 1.5 crore during past over 12 years.
Mr. Sharma added that more than three dozen such roads have eaten away an amount of Rs. 100 crores in the name of their repair and renovation during past 15 years without spending even 10% of the total amount. The JCB’s machines have been used for earth work instead of executing necessary required construction work for connecting to make it for public use.
He urged the State and Central Governments to enquire the illegal misuse of funds.
Mr. Sharma further urged the Government to take drastic steps for the construction and repair of the roads connecting to the above said places so that public may not feel ignored.
