SRINAGAR: Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir range, Vijay Kumar on Tuesday reviewed security situation in border district of Kupwara in north Kashmir and stressed on the need to enhance coordination between different security agencies for maintaining law and order.
A police spokesperson said that Mr Kumar visited Kupwara to review the security scenario and interact with civil society members and jawans. During his visit, the IGP interacted with the Police, CAPF officers and discussed different security measures taken for the maintenance of law and order in their respective areas.
Stressing on the need to enhance coordination between different security agencies for maintaining law and order, he appreciated the police and security personnel for handling the situations in a professional manner. (AGENCIES)
