IGP Jammu leads foot patrol in City North, reviews security arrangements

JAMMU, Sept 2: Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu Zone, Tejinder Singh, along with DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua (JSK) Range, SSP Jammu and SP North Jammu, conducted a foot patrol in the City North area today and reviewed the security arrangements and law and order situation.

During the patrol, the senior officers interacted with local residents and shopkeepers and took feedback on public safety concerns.

They directed the police personnel to maintain heightened vigil, conduct regular patrolling and remain responsive to the needs of the public.

The officers also stressed close coordination among field units for a prompt response to any emerging situation.

The patrol was also aimed at increasing police visibility in busy areas and strengthening public confidence in the security arrangements.

The officers reviewed the deployment of personnel and emphasised proactive and people-oriented policing to ensure a safe environment for residents, traders and visitors.
