IGP Jammu flags off J&K Blind Cricket team

JAMMU, Oct 20: Dr S D Singh Jamwal, IGP Jammu flagged Off J&K Blind Cricket team in an impressive function held at  Zonal Police Headquarters, here today.
The J&K Blind cricket team is going to participate in North Zone Inter-State Cricket Tournament for Blind Cricketers commencing from October 22, 2017 at Dehradun.
According to the organizers a three-day coaching camp was organized by Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu at MA Stadium wherein 25 players from different districts took part.
Dr Jamwal while speaking on the occasion said that he felt ecstatic to see J&K Blind cricketers participating in a mega event.
Assuring all help to the team, the IGP distributed cricket gear among the players.
Rajesh Sharma SSP, Staff Officer to IGP Jammu was also present on the occasion.
The team: Ajay (Captain), Yaqub, Rohit, Bunty, Naresh, Raqeeb, Waseem, Ankush, Azam, Irfan, Hafeez, Surjeet, Amir, Manpreet and Imam (Manager).
