JAMMU, July 1: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Jammu-born IFS officer Dr Rajendra Prasad Khajuria as the Director of the Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy (IGNFA).
The 1991- batch IFS officer of the Andhra Pradesh Cadre of the Indian Forest Services, Dr Khajuria is a distinguished forester and academician with over 35 years of experience.
He holds a Ph.D from the University of Toronto, Canada, and has served in several key roles in forest management, environment conservation, and policy formulation.
He has also published several research papers in the international and national journals.
INGFA is India’s premier institution for training Indian Forest Service officers selected through the Union Public Service Commission.
