JAMMU, June 6: Institution of Electronics and Telecommunic-ations Engineers (IETE), Jammu Chapter held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) today and also elected office bearers.
In the meeting, Dr Rakesh Vaid, Fellow IETE and Associate Professor in the Department of Physics and Electronics, Univer-sity of Jammu has been elected as its new Chairman unanimously. Dr Parveen Lehana from the same dept has been elected as secretary while Deepika Sharma as treasurer for the period of two years.
Earlier the AGM started with the welcome address by the outgoing chairman Er Joy Ganjoo, Fellow IETE, while the annual report was presented by secretary Dr Pawanesh Abrol, who briefed the members about the highlights of the technical activities undertaken by the centre during the previous years.
The audited financial report was presented by Er Vijay Sharma, Hon. Treasurer which was adapted and approved by the AGM.
In the AGM, Er Joy Ganjoo, Dr Pawanesh Abrol and Er Vijay Sharma were felicitated for the upliftment of the IETE Jammu Centre by retd Major General SK Sharma, who also acted as election observer.
Er Sameer Sharma, Dr Suresh Rao and Sonakshi were also present in the AGM among others.
