JAMMU, Sept 1: IDPS Ghou Manhasan hosted the 16th District Jammu Rope Skipping Championship 2026, witnessing participation of around 450 young athletes from nearly 25 schools across Jammu district. The two-day Championship was organised by the Rope Skipping Association of J&K (RSAJK), affiliated with J&K Olympic Association, in collaboration with the Sports & Culture Association of India.
The closing ceremony was graced by Surender Kumar Bhagat, MLA Marh, as chief guest, while Manjit Singh, Chairman, Kalarippayattu Association of J&K, and Varuneshwar Singh, SHO Domana, were guests of honour.
Among others present were Siya Singh, Managing Director, IDPS Ghou Manhasan; Sahrish Ismaily, Principal; Mubeen Butt, Vice Principal; Shikha Choudhary, School Manager; Danish Sharma, Working Secretary, RSAJK; and Rudrakshit Gupta, Technical Director, RSAJK.
IDPS Akhnoor emerged overall champion, followed by Vishwa Bharti School and Jodhamal Public School. SNS Vidya Mandir and KC Gurukul School secured fourth and fifth positions, respectively.
