JAMMU, Dec 29: Indian Dental Association (IDA) held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president Dr Nikhil Dev Wazir regarding sealing of three dental clinics in district Poonch.
While speaking, Dr Wazir said that three dental surgeons, who are practicing in Poonch have duly paid their registration fees of Rs 3000 each to the J&K State Dental Council, which is an authority on registering the dental clinics and establishment.
He said that various teams of the dental surgeons were selected by the J&K State Dental Council as inspectors to do inspections of Dental Clinics and establishments in the phased manger, which is still under process.
Dr Wazir said that president of J&K State Dental Council has requested District Magistrate not to seal the clinics as inspections and further registration of the clinics is in process.
“Due to sealing of the Dental Clinics by the Government resulted in loss of reputation and pride of the dental surgeons without their fault”, he added.
A representation in this regard has been formulated and will be soon forwarded to the Director Health Jammu and District Magistrate, Poonch, he added.
