JAMMU, Mar 30: Hindu Welfare Society Kashmir (HWSK) today said the fundamental rights of the community were eroded in 1989-90 turmoil which led to the mass migration of the community and entire community became homeless and helpless.
In a statement issued here, today it urged the community not to dance to the tune of political parties during these elections which have completely failed to look into the problems of the Pandits who stayed back in Kashmir valley during the turmoil period.
It said the political parties were shedding crocodile tears on the pearl of the community and they failed to take any step for its betterment till date.
A K Rajpori president, HWSK appealed the community not to become agents of political parties who exploited our sentiments to their own advantage.
He urged the community leadership to frame a guideline for future generations by learning a lesson from other minorities of the country.
