KUPWARA, July 11: To pick players from every nook and corner of the State, the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) today held selection trials at Sports Stadium Galizoo, here.
In a day-long trials held at Galizoo Sports Stadium, hundreds of youth turned up to showcase their talent in different departments of the game including physical fitness.
The Coordinator of JKCA, District Kupwara, Shabir Ahmad Mir has extended thanks to the authorities of JKCA for allowing them to hold trials in Kupwara for the first time in State’s cricket history.
He said that earlier all the aspiring cricketers who possess talent had to visit either Baramulla or Srinagar for trials but now they appeared in the trials in their own district.
The trials were held in the age groups up to Under-19 years boys.
Mr Shabir advised all the aspiring cricketers to give their hundred percent to impress the selectors.
The participants were highly thankful to JKCA authorities for holding the trials in far flung areas of the State.
