UDHAMPUR, Mar 19: A young housewife attempted suicide by consuming some poisonous substance under mysterious circumstances at the house of her-in laws at village Chanunta in Ramnagar, here last night.
According to the reports, Makhana Devi (27) wife of Raj Kumar of Chanunta Ramnagar Udhampur, consume some poisons substance and fell unconscious. The family members rushed her to the local hospital where doctors referred her to District Hospital Udhampur.
Cause behind the provocation could not be ascertained as Police had not recorded statement of the woman till filing of the report.
Meanwhile, a young girl received burn injuries at her house in Banihal and was rushed to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of her critical condition.
The victim was identified as Parveena Banoo (18) daughter of Mohd Yassin of Nee Bahardar Banihal.
