JAMMU, July 7: The Department of Horticulture (Planning & Marketing) in collaboration with J&K Dairy Producers Processors and Cooperative Limited (JKDCUL) and SIBA events, Management and Innovations Cooperative Ltd here today organized one day training-cum-awareness programme for CEOs and BODs of newly formed cooperatives and Farmers Producer Organizations (FPOs) in J&K.
Ajay Kumar Sood, Chief General Manager (CGM), National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) was the chief guest while K.K Sharma, Director Agriculture Jammu; Rajinder Singh Tara, Director General Command Area Development Jammu; Krishan Lal, Director Animal Husbandry Jammu; Arun Manhas, Managing Director, J&K Agro Development Corporation and Ram Savak, Director Horticulture Jammu were guests of honour.
Vishesh Paul Mahajan, Director Horticulture (Planning and Marketing) briefed the gathering about the importance of such trainings to cooperatives.
He said that basic training on compliance of cooperatives will be provided by Vikrant Dogra led JKDCUL and all cooperatives will be guided after formation about functioning of cooperatives and their respective alignment with various departmental schemes.
Dr. Ajay Kumar Sood highlighted the importance and role of NABARD in formation of 10,000 FPOs in J&K.
