KATHUA, Mar 11: Hiranagar Hockey Club (Hiranagar HC) and Jashmergarh HC scripted wins in the 1st District Hockey Championship in senior men by defeating Kathua HC and Aman Khalsa HC respectively, here today.
The championship was inaugurated by Shelav Sharma, member of Hockey J&K.
The first match was won by Hiranagar Hockey Club by trouncing Kathua HC by 4 goals to nil, while in the 2nd match, Jasmergarh Hockey Club defeated Aman Khalsa Hockey Club by 6 goals to 4.
The matches were officiated by Nipun Sharma, Rohit Sharma, Suraj Singh Jasrotia and Harish Dev Singh, while Shakti Gupta (Judo coach), Jyoti Naresh, Ratanpal Bharti, Tilak Raj and Sandeep Malgotra were also present during the championship.
