JAMMU, Aug 2: High Court today stayed transfer of Incharge Chief Medical Officer, Kathua, Dr Rajinder Sambyal.
The stay was granted in a petition filed by Dr Rajinder Sambyal against his pre-mature transfer within a period of six months to give benefit to Dr Raj Kumar Sangra, Incharge BMO Parole, who according to the petitioner, was not eligible to hold the post of Chief Medical Officer.
After hearing Advocate Rohit Verma appearing for the petitioner, Justice Janak Raj Kotwal observed, “perusal of objections filed on behalf of official respondents in petition No 210/2014 would show that giving additional charge of CMO Kathua to Dr Raj Kumar Sangra is inconsistent with the stand taken by the official respondents that he is not having requisite experience for manning the post of CMO”.
“Till appropriate direction on reconsideration is taken, petitioner shall continue as Incharge Chief Medical Officer Kathua”, the High Court directed.
