JAMMU, July 22: High Court today ordered status quo in promotion of 99 Junior Engineers as Assistant Engineers in the PHE and Flood Control Department.
The order was passed in a petition filed by Arun Gupta and others, who submitted that while ordering promotion of 99 Junior Engineers to the post of Assistant Engineers the concerned authorities ignored them.
After hearing Advocate Abhinav Sharma appearing for the petitioners, Justice B L Bhat issued notice to Commissioner Secretary, PHE & Flood Control Department and 99 promotees returnable within two weeks. In the meanwhile, High Court ordered that status-quo with regard to the promotions shall be maintained till next date of hearing.
