Hado of Georgia lifts 51st International Korga Kesari Dangal Title

KATRA, June 2: Wrestler Hado of Georgia defeated wrestler Benia Min of Basantgarh, Udhampur and lifted the ‘1st International Korga Kesari Title 2018’.
The event was organized by Korga Dangal Committee in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association at Village Korga in Jammu District.
Renowned wrestlers from across the country participated in the historic Vishal Dangal, which was witnessed by a gathering of around 15,000 people from the Jammu Province.
Wrestler Virender of Panipat was declared as the best Wrestler of the Dangal. He was awarded with cash prize of Rs 1,100 along with Turban and Mata Ki Chunni.
The first malli bout wrestler Hado was awarded with a cash prize of Rs 71,000 along with traditional Gurj (Gadda) and Patta by Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Vice President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri) and Wrestling Promoter Ram Paul Sharma, while runners-up Wrestler Benia Min got Rs 40,000 by Swarn Singh, Subadar Sansar Chand and Sat Paul Verma.
35 bouts were played in the one day long Dangal.
President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association Shiv Kumar Sharma distributed cash prizes of Rs 1, 11,000; Rs 31,000; Rs 31,000 and Rs 21,000 among the wrestlers of 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th mali respectively.
