Gulshan elected president of BOSE Employees Association

JAMMU, Oct 21: Gulshan Raj Gupta has been elected as new president of  Jammu Kashmir State Board of School Education Non-Gazetted Employees Association, elections of which were held today.
In a triangular contest, Mr Gupta  defeated his nearest rival Rajesh Choudhary with a margin of six votes. Gupta secured 137 votes while Mr Choudhary and third contestant Vijay Singh Jasrotia were polled 161 and six votes, respectively.
For the post of vice-president S Satpal Singh was declared elected while Jatinder Singh Manhas was elected as general secretary.
Lal Chand and S Iqbal Singh were declared elected as secretary and cashier, respectively of the Association.
The election results were declared, late this evening, by Dr Yasir Hamid Sirwani, who was appointed as election commissioner for conducting  the elections.
