Gulmarg XI beat Uri XI in Gandhi Mandela cricket match

Baramulla, Oct 9: Gandhi Global Family J&K in association with United Nations (UNIC) New Delhi organises match for special children in Baramulla as a part of Gandhi Mandela Cricket Series 2015. Match was held at Jhelum Stadium Baramulla in presence of  District Social Welfare Officer Mudasir Ahmad Choudhary and GGF Vice President Padmashri S P Varma. The event was presided by Abdul Ahad Najjar, GGF Advisor Kashmir who later introduced both teams to chief guest. Appreciating the role of Gandhi Global Family and its volunteers in making this series huge success,Mr Choudhary said that we all should learn from the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela. We must learn Universal tolerance and acceptance of all from Mahatma Gandhi. Mr Azhar GGF Coordinator Baramulla presented Indo-UN pin to the Chief Guest. Later, Uri XI scored 65/9 in 10 overs while Gulmarg XI achieved target in 7.3 overs. Later, Bilal Ahmad was declared Boy of the match. Others who were present as dignitaries were Ms Abeeda War, Omar Shah and Shekhawat Khan along with other GGF volunteers.
