Gul transferred, Mukhtar posted as Sports Council Secy

SRINAGAR, Sept 1: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has transferred Nuzhat Gul, Secretary, J&K Sports Council, and posted her as Secretary, J&K Advisory Board for Development of Kisans with immediate effect.

According to Government Order No. 1465-JK(GAD) of 2026, issued by the General Administration Department (Services), Gul has been transferred in the interest of administration. The order, dated September 1, states that she shall be deemed to have been relieved immediately from her present place of posting. The order was issued by M. Raju, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government.

Meanwhile, Tazayun Mukhtar, Chief Executive Officer, Urban Development Agency, Kashmir, holding additional charge of Mission Director, DJAY, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, J&K Sports Council.

Gul had been serving as Secretary of the Sports Council, overseeing various sports development activities in the Union Territory. Pertinently, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Jammu, has recently initiated an investigation into allegations concerning S.O. 12, provisional merit lists, sports recognition, certificates, and allocation of benefits and appointments under the sports quota framework in Jammu and Kashmir. The ACB has sought a detailed factual report from the concerned department.
