SRINAGAR, June 29: A group of 28 children belonging to Gurez and far-flung areas of the Border, who were on tour outside the State, led by MLA, Gurez Nazir Ahmad Gurezi visited Assembly Complex here today and met Speaker, Mohammad Akbar Lone.
The visiting group while expressing their experiences individually told the Speaker that it was the first time that they have interacted with the other contemporaries outside the State and it will be memorable visits of their lives.
After going through the Assembly Complex, the children shown keen interest in the political affairs and tried to understand the functioning of the Assembly. On the occasion, the Speaker lauded the role of the management for conducting such tours of the children of the border areas and said these tours should also be conducted in the future so that the children get acquainted with the other part of the country.
The tour of the children was conducted by 15 Maharata Light Infantry.
