JAMMU, Aug 2: A joint meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) was held today at Jagti Nagrota under the chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita, President JTC/SKF J&K.
In the meeting the participants have expressed grave concern over the delay in construction works in the open land specified for Mandir complex situated between Lane Number. 14 and 15 at Jagti Nagrota.
Addressing the meeting, Shadi Lal Pandita apprised the participants that though the Government had identified this piece of land for construction of temple complex and the temple was to be constructed by the Government but the construction was not taken up. The J T C and Soan Kashmir Front J&K raised funds by donation and started construction work which included construction of compound walling, installation of Shiv Lingam and raising some structures but due to paucity of funds the remaining proposed structures like two big halls, Geeta Hall and Dharamshalla could not be taken up as the donation raised have totally exhausted and no further donations have been received.
The meeting in an appeal to Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner as well as State Government for arranging funds for sanction and release for construction of remaining proposed structures in temple complex at Jagti Nagrota to full fill the wishes of the migrant community.
Others who were present in the meeting included Raj Kumar Tickoo, Kashi Nath Bhat, Sunil Koul, R.K. Raina, Raj Kumar Bhat, Mithan Pandita, C.L. Pandita, S. L. Kar, Hari Krishan Pandita, R.K. Pandita, M.L. Aima, etc.
