JAMMU, Oct 25: To detect illegal movement of banned polythene, the Government is exploring the feasibility of installing technical and electronic equipments like scanners for checking at Toll Post Lakhanpur.
For the purpose, a high-level committee, headed by Chief Engineer Mechanical Kashmir has been constituted.
The five-member committee, comprising Additional Commissioner Commercial Taxes (ADM) Jammu, Deputy Excise Commissioner Toll Post Lakhanpur, Senior Law Officer from the Finance Department and representative from Police Headquarters, shall submit its report within a period of one month.
