Govt should fill 26,000 vacant posts on fast track: Bali Bhagat

JAMMU, Feb 28: Senior BJP leader and former Minister, Bali Bhagat today urged the Lt Governor, Manoj Singh to fill all the identified 26,000 vacancies in the various departments of Jammu and Kashmir Government on fast track basis.
In a statement issued here, today, the former Minister said that the Government deserves kudos for identifying 26,000 vacancies in various departments for filling up in the current year including Gazetted, non-Gazetted and Class-IV. He said that unemployment has become a major issue in J&K and therefore it is advisable that the Government recruitment agencies JKSSB and JKPSC should advertise all the vacant posts available with them on fast track recruitment because the BJP Government in the Centre is resolute for giving employment to youths in the UT of J&K.
The former Minister said that the 26,000 plus vacancies in Government departments will help the unemployed youth as vacancies pertained to all cadre including Gazetted, non-Gazetted and Class-IV. He said that the Government at the Centre is quite concerned towards the welfare of the people especially the youth therefore the local Government under the realms of LG Manoj Sinha should also take a cue for giving priority to fill these identified posts on fast track basis.
The former Minister also criticized the opposition parties for misleading people on imposition of Property Tax in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that these politicians are spreading utter misinformation on the quantum of tax burden on the people.
The senior BJP leader asserted that the Government is taking every decision with the aim to bring J&K at par with other states of the nation. Moreover, if people want good amenities then they will definitely have to support the Government by welcoming its moves and duly paying taxes is an important obligation on the part of the citizens. He said that taxes constitute a healthy source of funds which are meant for development and welfare activities of the people.
