JAMMU, Nov 17: Government Maulana Azad Memorial College won the Hockey (Men) Inter College tournament organised by Cluster University of Jammu at Hakku Stadium, here today.
Dr. Vinod Bakshi, Director Physical Education & Sports, Cluster University of Jammu and Physical Director GGM Science College was the chief guest and Ajay Gupta, Manager, K.K. Hakku Hockey Stadium Jammu was the guest of honour during the occasion.
The tournament was organised under the overall supervision of Dr. Vinod Bakshi, Director Physical Education & Sports, Cluster University of Jammu and Physical Director GGM Science College and under the supervision of Neenu Sawhney, Physical Director Govt. MAM College Jammu.
The 1st match was played between GGM Science College and Govt. SPMR College of Commerce in which GGM Science College won by 4-0. Karan Bhagat scored the first goal for GGM Science College. The 2nd goal was scored by Simranjeet Singh. The 3rd and 4th goal was scored by Varun Kumar for GGM Science College.
In the final match Govt. MAM College beat GGM Science College by 03-01. For Govt. MAM College Jyotdeep scored 1st goal. The 2nd and 3rd goals were scored by Jagmeet Singh and Jyotdeep. Simranjeet Singh scored one goal for GGM Science College. Prof. Sanjay Samyal, Govt. MAM College, Aijaz Malik, Physical Director Govt. SPMR College of Commerce were among the various dignitaries present during the occasion. The match was officiated by Mandeep Singh & Jagjeet Singh.
