RAJOURI, Feb 11: Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs and Tribal Affairs, Choudhary Zulfkar Ali today said the Government is very keen to establish enhanced administrative control and supervision for monitoring of developmental works at grassroot level for their timely completion while ensuring work quality.
He said this while speaking in a public grievance redressal camp held at Koteranka after inaugurating the office of Additional Deputy Commissioner Koteranka.
The public demanded establishment of degree college, interlinking of main roads, blacktopping of main and link roads, new administrative units at Peeri in addition to demands for provision of drinking water, hassle free power supply and employment avenues for the educated youth of area.
The Minister said the Government is very keen to establish enhanced administrative control and supervision for monitoring of developmental works at grassroot level for their timely completion while ensuring work quality. He added that the decision will go a long way in mitigating the problems faced by people apart from overall development of Koteranka subdivision.
Enumerating various developmental works undertaken by the Government in the area such as eco-park, amusement parks, indoor stadium, major road projects like Rajouri-Koteranka-Budhal & Koteranka-Khawas roads, Shakarmarg Tourism Project, filtration plant of 2 LAKH gallons and other key projects of education, health and Tribal Affairs departments, the Minister said the office of ADC will play pivotal role of coordinating between departments, reviewing progress of works and removing bottlenecks in implementation of development projects.
Earlier, the Minister inspected various developmental works such as channel fencing, construction of view points, tourist huts, guest house, fountains, amphitheatre, beautification of park, development of botanical garden and cactus garden etc going on in eco-park at Patti Qila. He exhorted upon the concerned officers for timely completion of the work.
