JAMMU, Feb 12: Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) in its meeting held under the chairmanship of its president Shadi Lal Pandita while discussing the demands of inmates of the township accused the Government of its failure in fulfilling the commitments made with community while constructing the township at Jagti.
The meeting said that Government was committed to provide all facilities to migrants who were shifted to Jagti township from various camps but it failed to do the same till date. The migrants in erstwhile camps were enjoying the facilities like drinking water, electricity and transport which they lack at Jagti, the meeting added.
He said no steps were made to rehabilitate the members of business community who were hit by shifting the camps to Jagti. It also alleged that the Apex Committee members were not representatives of the Community as they have no mandate. The meeting urged the Apex Committee members to resign in case they are interested in community welfare.
B L Raina, Raj Nath Raina, M L Akhoon, Rajinder Dhar, S L Kar, Shubun Ji Raina and others were present in the meeting.
